I'm a technophobic public historian specializing in late 19th and early 20th century American social history, community history, oral history and museum work. I coordinate the History Dept's Public History program, teach a variety of classes and oversee public history (undergrad and graduate) students who work on a number of South Bethlehem community history practicum projects, including three different oral history projects (on ethnic churches, retail history and the effects of urban renewal), and the St. Michael's cemetery documentation project. I am a nervous Luddite, but I will TRY to learn new things at THAT Camp so I can keep up with some of my students (I will write that 50 times, and maybe believe it by the time THAT camp happens...)
